The Lenten journey is upon us, and we look forward to growing in faith and reverence to our God during this holy time with our Trinity family.

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday is on March 6th, and we have three opportunities to worship and receive the imposition of ashes:

  • 8:15am during the school chapel
  • 11am
  • 12:00pm during the lunch hour and will be a spoken liturgy
  • 7:00pm

The 7pm service will also have the accompaniment of our music department, the Worship Team, Adult Choir, and Handbell Ensemble will each play and help lead worship at 7pm.

Behold the Man Midweek Series

Beginning on Ash Wednesday, Pastor Davis will begin the six-week series Behold the Man! Behold, the Man! takes a look at Jesus, especially in his humanity.  Here is what Pastor Davis had to say about it:

Jesus is “larger than life” for many of us. The stories we tell and the stories we hear can often fall into the realm of mythology. This series focuses on our Christ who is able to sympathize with us and understand us because he shared our nature in all things but sin. My hope is that through this series, our families are more deeply connected to the mystery of their faith, that God became man.

Each week will focus on a different aspect of His humanity:

  1. Ash Wednesday: A God who Hungers
  2. Lent Midweek 1: A God with a Mother
  3. Lent Midweek 2: A God who Prays
  4. Lent Midweek 3: A God Beaten
  5. Lent Midweek 4: A God Exposed
  6. Lent Midweek 5: A God who Thirsts

Lenten Midweek Services & Soup Suppers

During Lent we like to designate more time for devotion, prayer, and worship.  Fellowship and being together as a church family is also important.  So the five weeks following Ash Wednesday, we like to provide a light meal preceding worship to allow our Trinity families the opportunity to focus on being together and worshipping and not having to make dinner. So aside from Ash Wednesday service, our Lenten midweeks will look like this:

  • 6:00pm Doors open and a light meal will be served (Suggested donation of $5 per person and $15 per family.
  • 6:40pm Hymn sing in the sanctuary as we prepare for worship
  • 7:00pm Worship, which includes a children’s message before the Eucharist begins

Anointing and/or Private Confession available after the service for those who desire.

Stations of the Cross

To deepen our time of prayer and devotion during Lent, we will be offering Stations of the Cross on Monday, April 15th at 7pm. We will walk through the Stations and then have a brief service of Reconciliation.
