We Have a New Pastor Coming!

Pr. Vieth Installation Weekend (July 10th/11th)

It is not often that a new pastor arrives. This is a great moment to celebrate and a wonderful opportunity to come together as the entire Trinity family for worship – something we haven’t been able to do for a while. So we will dedicate the entire weekend to Pr. Vieth’s arrival and the beginning of his ministry among us. Here is the schedule:
Saturday, July 10th, 4 PM – Solemn Vespers. We will pray for Pr. Vieth and our Trinity family as we anticipate his installation the next day. Please note that this is not a Eucharist but a service of readings, song, and prayer.
Sunday, July 11th, 10 AM – Installation Eucharist. We will come together as an entire Trinity family this Sunday in one Eucharist (No 8:30 Eucharist) as we welcome this new servant of Jesus. A continental brunch reception will be served afterward.
Monday, July 12th, 6 PM – regular Eucharist.

Watch Pastor Vieth preach a sermon at the seminary chapel here.

A little more about Pr. Vieth

Mason Vieth! He is 26 years old, single, and from St. Peters, Missouri.  Before attending Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, he received his BA in Theology from Concordia University, Chicago.

He will arrive permanently by the beginning of July with his dachshund – Winston!

I cannot tell you how excited I am for Pr. Vieth and to have him join our Trinity family and ministry team. When I conducted the interviews this winter, I asked the Lord to make it very clear to me who He wanted to come to Trinity. It became absolutely obvious!

Pr. Vieth is an excellent preacher (I’ve watched him a few times!), has strong leadership and relational skills and a passion for the very things we need in this position. Besides sharing general pastoral ministry with me, he will work specifically with our 2nd Ignite goal: building a continuum of faith formation in every season and station of life.
