Indiana Choice Scholarship

The Indiana Choice Scholarship also called the voucher program, provides scholarships to eligible students to offset tuition costs at participating schools. Eligibility criteria are based on household income and fulfilling one of several potential pathways for acceptance. Recent changes at the state level make this scholarship more accessible than ever before.

Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO)

The SGO is a state-approved organization that receives donations from individuals or corporations for the purpose of granting scholarships for students meeting income requirements.  If a student’s family income meets the eligibility guidelines, they can receive a minimum of $500 as a scholarship applied to their tuition.

TLS Scholarship

Trinity Lutheran Church and School allocates tuition support through several designated pathways based on family need and availability of funds.  It is the desire of the congregation to first offer support to students that are members of the congregation and have the greatest level of need to support their education at Trinity.

Student Supports

At Trinity Lutheran School, we are committed to nurturing the whole child—academically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially. Our student support systems are rooted in our mission to provide a Christ-centered, safe, and loving environment for every student and family.

Spiritual Supports

  • Faith Formation: Daily devotions, weekly chapel, and integration of faith in all subjects help students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Worship & Jesus Time: Each week, students participate in Bible stories, worship, and prayer, fostering a strong spiritual foundation.

Supporting Trinity

We are grateful for every family that chooses Trinity as their spiritual and educational partner. Each family that has made a decision to be here has shown faith, worship, and trust in their Lord and Trinity.  Thank you for having faith that God put you here for a reason. Thank you for your act of worship by sacrificing your resources to put your families’ faith formation first. Thank you for trusting that the decisions of our school board and leadership are spirit led.

If you are so moved there are additional opportunities to support the school ministry here at Trinity.

Supporting Trinity Students

Donations & Benefit

Tuition and assistance from the church go to meet a majority of the operating costs of our school.  Here are three additional ways in which you can support Trinity students directly.

Donating to Internal Scholarships

In addition to accepting Indiana State Vouchers and the SGO program, Trinity funds internal scholarships as well. Two of the more notable scholarships are the George Woldt Memorial Scholarship, and the Cindy Cataldo Memorial Scholarship (which benefits our preschool families). Both scholarships are in honor of the life and ministry of two former Trinity staff.

Donating to the SGO

The Lutheran SGO enables low- to middle-income families to send their children to Trinity. Donations can take many forms (cash, checks, credit card, stocks, IRA rollovers, etc.). Making a donation is a simple process (just make sure you designate “Trinity Lutheran – Elkhart” as your selected school). By giving to the SGO, you’ll empower kids to attend Trinity and help to ignite in them a personal faith in Jesus. For your generosity, you may receive a 50% Indiana state tax credit. Donate today and give the gift of Lutheran education!

Trinity's Annual Benefit

Every year, as the Trinity Family we gather together at our annual school auction.  This benefit is an opportunity to partner with our local community to recognize the accomplishments of our students and staff as well as provide financial support for future projects.
