Getting Started

We are very excited you are considering Trinity for your next step in education.  One of our main goals is to make this process efficient and straightforward so your family can begin focusing on growing your faith, strengthening your family and providing a solid base for your student’s future.  Trinity Lutheran School is a ministry of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, and teaches the doctrine and practices of the LCMS.

Getting To Know Trinity

The first step in the process is determining if Trinity is the right fit for your student and your family. Usually, we ask families to come in and visit with us, which is still an option if you feel comfortable with that. This year we are offering other opportunities to meet with a school leader and our admissions specialist.  Please fill out the Admission Appointment form with your preferences and our admissions specialist, Lori Cronmiller will contact you to get the process going and schedule a time for you to meet with our Principal or Early Childhood Director.

Financial AId

To further support families seeking a Trinity education for their child, there are several options to supplement tuition costs.  Funds are awarded based on need and availability.

TLS Scholarship

Trinity Lutheran Church and School allocates tuition support through several designated pathways based on family need and availability of funds.  It is the desire of the congregation to first offer support to students that are members of the congregation and have the greatest level of need to support their education at Trinity.

Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO)

The SGO is a state-approved organization that receives donations from individuals or corporations for the purpose of granting scholarships for students meeting income requirements.  If a student’s family income meets the eligibility guidelines, they can receive a minimum of $500 as a scholarship applied to their tuition.

Z

Indiana Choice Scholarship

The Indiana Choice Scholarship also referred to as the voucher program, provides scholarships to eligible students to offset tuition costs at participating schools.   Eligibility criteria are based on household income and fulfilling one of seven potential pathways for acceptance.

Supporting Trinity

We are grateful for every family that chooses Trinity as their spiritual and educational partner. Each family that has made a decision to be here has shown faith, worship, and trust in their Lord and Trinity.  Thank you for having faith that God put you here for a reason. Thank you for your act of worship by sacrificing your resources to put your families’ faith formation first. Thank you for trusting that the decisions of our school board and leadership are spirit led.

If you are so moved there are additional opportunities to support the school ministry here at Trinity.

Supporting Trinity Students

Donations & Benefit

Tuition and assistance from the church go to meet a majority of the operating costs of our school.  Here are three additional ways in which you can support Trinity students directly.

Donating to Internal Scholarships

In addition to accepting Indiana State Vouchers and the SGO program, Trinity funds internal scholarships as well. Two of the more notable scholarships are the George Woldt Memorial Scholarship, and the Cindy Cataldo Memorial Scholarship (which benefits our preschool families). Both scholarships are in honor of the life and ministry of two former Trinity staff.

Donating to the SGO

The Lutheran SGO enables low- to middle-income families to send their children to Trinity. Donations can take many forms (cash, checks, credit card, stocks, IRA rollovers, etc.). Making a donation is a simple process (just make sure you designate “Trinity Lutheran – Elkhart” as your selected school). By giving to the SGO, you’ll empower kids to attend Trinity and help to ignite in them a personal faith in Jesus. For your generosity, you may receive a 50% Indiana state tax credit. Donate today and give the gift of Lutheran education!

Trinity's Annual Benefit

Every year, as the Trinity Family we gather together at our annual school auction.  This benefit is an opportunity to partner with our local community to recognize the accomplishments of our students and staff as well as provide financial support for future projects.
